JW's Personal Story

I separated with my ex partner after 14yrs and because we had a house and 3 boys I left them everything and signed the house over and I moved in with family a few hours away to get my head straight.

Within 6 months I received a call from a service known as The department of Children’s Services and to find out my boys were removed from the mothers care and placed into the system. At this stage 48hrs had passed and I was told I couldn’t have my boys and then a federal court battle began took me 5 yrs and 425k. I wasn’t backing down or giving in.

So long story short, I met someone after 3 years and I eventually told her my story. She agreed to help me with my situation and now I’m happily married with a new home and have 3 boys at home. We thought something was missing so we adopted a girl and now our happy home has 4 kids and my wife and myself.

I learnt I’m stronger than I ever gave myself credit for and I truly support multiple men’s mental health awareness groups and love helping men or mates in need ……
